• Part time consulting practice by personal preference based on provision of service continuity for clients of Subiaco BEC. In this period I was exposed to the City of Swan as acting manager of Swan Region BEC in a locum situation for two months whilst the current manager was on secondment and continue to act as locum small business facilitator for the organisation as needs demand a situation which I enjoy supporting
• Engaged as the Australian resident director to a London publicly listed mining company with 3 uranium mining companies in Western Australia
• Engaged as Manager of Subiaco BEC with duties which included enterprise facilitation, business planning, strategic market planning, business counselling, ATSIC business funding and grants/planning/assessment/reporting, Business mentoring, Business start up procedures, BEC administrative duties, Qualification: Foundation Member of the Australasian Institute of Enterprise Facilitators (M.I.E.F.)
• Self - Contracted to WA Small Business Development Corporation. (SBDC) as an authorised consultant providing services in business support counselling, business diagnostic, business planning, market planning, investor/inventor matching, intellectual property negotiation, Business mentoring.
• Private commissions in videotape production/direction coupled to promotional planning, copywriting and talent negotiation
• Engaged by a corporation for consultation on import and distribution and originally joined firm as consultant to Managing Director and subsequently joined staff with duties to develop internal administrative processes, Sales management, Import procedures on machinery ex Germany / Austria / Singapore and New Zealand, Export procedures on machinery S.E. Asia, Negotiation and obtaining machinery and consumables sole agencies for Australasia and Western Australia.
• Established Paracom Advertising to develop and maintain an advertising agency suitable for use by small advertisers at a time when major agency structures required individual client billing’s of not less than $200,000, Manage a team of sub-contract creative work suppliers and supplying full advertising creative and media placement service.
• Senior Partner in large Perth: advertising agency Ian Smith & Partners which through a series of changes as is common in the advertising industry requiring local representation became: Smith Partners International; Smith Coudrey Campbell Ewald; Smith Dailey; Smith Dailey DDB & Needham
• As Senior Partner, Television producer, Senior Account Executive with responsibilities for general management, financial management, control workflow and the output of 30 staff, along with maintenance of client/media relations, creative and financial production - direction film and television, client media and production budget planning, Client/media liaison, campaign concept development and creative and planning.
• Initially a years study leave of absence S.E. Asia, United Kingdom and Europe from Ian Smith & Partners Advertising with a move on return to de- facto employers - ATN7 and Artransa Park Film Studios on study leave in film and television production/direction techniques to meet the pre-requisite criteria of Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (New York, NY, USA) where Associate Membership was maximum level achievable due to U.S. film industry policy at the time being that higher qualification was not made available to foreign nationals.

• Introducing practical business skills to senior high school students in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and the Vocational Employment Training (VET) scheme.

City of Subiaco – Business Advisory Committee

• A formal body of the Subiaco City Council reporting directly to Councillors on matters affecting the business community

Safer Subiaco Committee

• Promoting a safer environment for Subiaco and working in close co-operation with the Western Australian Police Service.
